Sig Sauer P230 .380 ACP

Sadly, this gun is no longer in production. This is a loss to anyone that still believes in the .380 ACP caliber. The P230 is basically a clone of the Walther PPK with a slightly larger (and improved) wrap-around grip. The gun is a fine example of Sig quality. Like the PPK it has a loaded chamber indicator and decocker. The real story with this weapon is it’s accuracy and ease of use. If there is someone in you life that chooses the .380 ACP caliber, they will find no better weapon. While the gun is a compact it gives groups like a long bull barreled target gun. It’s awesome, and probably the one .380 I would sell if an offer came up.

  1. I have owned both the 230 and the 232 and they are indeed great little guns. I personally prefer the PPK/S of which is my daily carry backup to my always worn Glock 30 using Glock 21 mags and the little mag extension coverup doo hickies adding to the G30s capacity.
In comparing the Sig to the Walther, they both for me run at 100% and I have to admit that the Sig has the better sights but I have added the Crimson Trace laser grips to my Walther which for my age rotting eyes is getting to almost be a must.
There is no doubt at all that this and perhaps the Sig 228 are my favorite Sig handguns other than perhaps the best gun on the current market which I recently purchased, the Sig 365….for some reason I can shoot “lights out” with that new addition.
