Ruger SR22
In theory the SR22 is a good move for Ruger giving the public a practice gun that mimics the styling and feel of a defensive firearm. Another nice touch was the interchangeable grips that allow the gun to be small enough for a child’s hand and giving junior a chance at a handgun for a change. The downside is rimfire ammunition is very dirty. My only real observation on this gun is having seen it rented at the range many times. Invariably it jams on the shooter. I can’t say if it’s a design flaw by Ruger or poor cleaning at the range. Either way I would be wary and do some extra homework before this purchase.
